Matt Cain's Perfect Game


June 13, 2012, Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants tosses a perfect game. It is the second of the season, and only the 22nd perfect game in Major League Baseball history. It is the first in Giants history, the Giant thump the Astros 10-0 in the game.

Roy Halladay Throws Perfect Game


May 29, 2010. Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Roy Halladay tosses only 20th perfect game in major league history, He wins a 1-0 pitchers duel over the Marlins Josh Johnson. It is the second perfect game in Phillies history with Jim Bunning tossing the first.

Randy Johnson Hurls Perfect Game


May 18, 2004. Arizona Diamondbacks southpaw Rand Johnson tosses a perfect game over the Atlanta Braves 2-0. At 40, he becomes the oldest pitcher to pitch a perfect game. He also joins select company of pitchers that have thrown no-hitters in both leagues (Jim Bunning, Hideo Nomo, Nolan Ryan, and Cy Young).

Len Barker Hurls Perfect Game


May 15, 1981. The Cleveland Indians righty Len Barker hurls the 11th perfect in Major League Baseball history. Barker defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 in front of a sparse crowd at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland. It is the first perfect game since 1968.

Dallas Braden Pitches Perfect Game


May 9, 2010. Dallas Braden pitched a perfect game over the Tampa Bay Rays winning 4-0. His perfect game was the 16th in Major League Baseball history. Braden would finish his career with a won-loss record with an ERA of 4.16. His career was cut short by arm troubles.

Catfish Hunter Pitches Perfect Game


May 8, 1968. Jim "Catfish" Hunter of the Oakland A's tossed the first perfect game in the American League in forty-six years over the Minnesota Twins 4-0. Charlie Robertson of the Chicago White Sox had been the last to accomplish the feat in 1922. Only 6,298 witnessed the perfect game.

Phil Humber Hurls Perfect Game


On this day on April 21, 2012, the Phil Humber of the Chicago White Sox hurls a perfect game at SafeCo Field in Seattle as the White Sox down the Mariners 4-0. He becomes the third White Sox pitchers to accomplish the feat in team history. Humber struggled throughout his career finishing with a 16-23 record with an ERA of 5.31. He signed a minor league deal with the San Diego Padres for 2016, but opted to retire on March 29, 2016.
