Fernando Valenzuela Wins Eighth Straight




 May 14, 1981. The Los Angeles Dodgers fans are caught up in Fernando mania. Valenzuela wins his eighth straight to start his career in a 3-2 decision over the Montreal Expos. The 20-year old southpaw has started the season 8-0 including five shutouts.
